For general garage work, 8,000-12,000 lumens provides excellent coverage. Detail automotive work benefits from 15,000+ lumens. Consider multiple smaller lights for flexibility over one massive fixture that creates harsh shadows.
Official Dewalt vs third-party lights?
Official Dewalt lights offer warranty protection and guaranteed compatibility but cost more. Runtime on 5Ah battery?

Can I mount them permanently?
Most cordless lights include mounting holes for permanent installation. However, their cordless design excels for portability. Dedicated shop lights with AC power may be better for fixed ceiling mounts where you don't need mobility.
Are they waterproof enough?
