How much space should I leave between shelves for tires?
Allow 12" vertical clearance for standard passenger tires and 15" for truck tires. Never stack tires directly on shelves - use rubber mats to prevent oil damage and improve grip during loading.
Do I need to bolt shelving units together?
Critical for earthquake zones or multi-unit installations. Bolt adjacent units at top and bottom channels to prevent cascading collapse. Single units require wall anchoring every 4 feet of height regardless of location.
